DESCRIPTION:Join us for an intimate evening with Andrea Stanley\, Founder of Valley Malt and President of Craft Maltsters Guild\, as she shares her expertise as the first artisan maltster on the East coast\, while introducing us to the world of malt sensory evaluation. \nUtilizing the newly developed and approved Hot Steep method\, Andrea will walk participants through a “malt flight”\, including a Pilsen malt\, Pale malt\, and a Roasted malt. After\, we will sample three Throwback beers utilizing those three styles of malt. \nParticipants will come away with a better understanding of the malting process and how to evaluate malt.
